Finance for Non-Financial Managers  

This course is for managers, supervisors and professionals who want to understand the basics of finance and accounting. The course benefits any manager, business executive or owner who needs to understand, prepare, analyze and communicate financial information. Topics include: introduction of basic accounting and financial concepts; financial statements, such as the balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, and financial ratios; application of accounting and financial principals to managerial decisions; understanding the time value of money present value and future value concepts; and the interaction between financial and strategic decisions. The main purpose is to normalize financial statements and show what bankers, investors and financial managers see when they read a balance sheet, income statement and statement of cash flows. The course addresses the basic understanding that sound financial decisions are based on choosing accounting methods which increases your cash flows, help you manage the business and improve the bottom line.
